Okay, the thing is, I needed to make some graphs for a report... quick! What better option than to use something that's helped out programmers and non-programmer scientists alike?

Let me introduce an old friend, Matplotlib! If you go to their website, you'll see interesting historical information about the late legendary John Hunter who graced us with this amazing library.

Not only was I able to utilize several different graph types, including pie charts, bar and line graphs, but our team also received compliments from upper management to boot. Win, win!

I ended up integrating this with a database access and pipeline analytics tool that we already had running. It was a lot of fun with instant gratification to put together human-readable charts and make sense of all the analytics. All that information was neatly formatted into a nightly report for the subscribers. Woo!
